Unfortunately, every person is different, so there is no one treatment that would work for all. To provide the most efficient information, I'm going to give general remedies that, in my experience, have worked for most people that I've helped out.
I'm not going to BORE you with causes of acne or all that unnecessary crap. You're here to learn how to get rid of acne, and that's ALL I'm here to show you.
How to Get Rid of Acne
First of all, throw away any and all CREAMS AND MEDICATIONS that may have been given to you by a dermatologist. These will not work; don't get me wrong, they MAY, but if it doesn't work... your acne will most definitely get MUCH worse, and I'm sure you don't want to take such a risk with your skin.
There are 4 PARTS to this guide, each detailing things that you must change about your current lifestyle. If you don't follow all of the rules, I cannot say assure you that you'll eliminate your acne problems. You MUST follow all rules to truly understand how to get rid of acne.
Part 1: Core Essentials to Get Rid of Acne
Part 2: Home Remedies for Acne to Try
Part 3: Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements
Part 4: Putting it ALL together
Part 1: Core Essentials
The biggest and most important essential is WATER. WATER. WATER.
You may have heard of this before, but water CAN actually be the sole cure to curing your acne. Luckily for you, it's only one of the tips I've got for you. Don't just drink 6-8 glasses a day, aim for 9-12 glasses a day. Although it isn't THE cure, a lot of water is the catalyst for treating your acne.
Water cleanses your entire body, and provides moisture for your skin, which is necessary.
In addition to water, another core essential is washing your face twice daily. If you're unsure about an effective acne face wash to use, get one that's for your skin. Some face washes are for dry to oily skin and others are from oily to dry. Buy one that has really good reviews from other users, and make sure you wash your face twice a day. Once in the morning, and once in the evening!
Simple enough? All you need to do is drink 9-12 glasses of water a day and use a facial cleanser twice a day. This is it for part-1.
Part 2: Home Remedies for Acne
When it comes to home remedies for acne, there are endless different treatments to experiment with. The most effective way to use them is to try them, and stick to the treatment(s) that seem to comply best with your acne and skin. Here's how to get rid of acne using home remedies.
Below are 3 remedies that seem to work best in my experience:
1) Lemon Juice:
Firstly, wash your face with warm water, and place a towel above your head to enclose the steam (this opens up your pores). Then, dip a cotton ball in freshly-squeezed lemon juice and apply near acne and acne scars. Do this 1-2 times, and then wash your face with cold water after 25-30 minutes.
Lemon juice is a citric acid, which helps get rid of dead cells and replace them with fresh ones. It's acidity aids in killing off extra bacteria on your face as well.
2) Coconut Oil:
Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your skin. Take the oil and apply onto desired areas. Let it sit for 5 minutes, and then wash it off.
3) Strawberries:
Many acne treatments and washes have a chemical called Salicylic acid in them. Strawberries are a natural source of this acid, and it's better than using those over-the-counter products.
Mix regular yogurt with a couple of strawberries. Blend the two ingredients and apply to your face as a mask. Wash it off after 15 minutes.
Alright, those are the three that I like the most. The only problem with these remedies is that they don't tend to work consistently. If you are serious about getting rid of your acne NATURALLY, click on the image below and watch the video.

Part 3: Vitamins, Minerals, and other Supplements
There are tons of different vitamins and minerals that can aid with your acne, but here are the most efficient.
Vitamin A - If you want to know what Vitamin A is, and what it does, go look it up. Like I've said before, this site is straight-to-the-point, and is meant solely to provide information on how to get rid of acne.

Okay, so basically, acne is largely caused by dead skin cells. Vitamin A is the vitamin that helps shed those dead cells, and replace them with fresh ones, so it's essential if you don't want clogged pores. The vitamin is an antioxidant, so it can further aid in calming your breakouts.
Vitamins C and E - These vitamins aren't particularly effective for acne, however, they are great for skin-care in general because they boost your immunity.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids - This goes into the supplement category. There is very strong evidence that omega 3 fats are very good at eliminating acne in general. It contains anti-inflammatory chemicals. Foods rich in omega 3 fats include: Canola oil, fish oil, sardines, wild salmon, foods with selenium (nuts), and walnuts.

Don't confuse omega 3 with omega 6, which actually has INFLAMMATORY chemicals! Minimize your omega-6 intake.
Zinc - I've saved the best for last! Zinc is the most widely known mineral for acne prevention. Like Vitamin A, it supports cell growth. The two go very well together. Zinc supplements can be purchased over-the-counter, but here are some foods that work well also: dark chocolate, lima beans, pumpkin seeds, and lean red meat. Note that milk chocolate isn't very effective as the sugar makes acne worse!
